Management Team
The Physware management team consists of members with many years of domain experience and at industry leading
companies including Intel, Synopsys, Ansoft and Applied Wave Research. Physware's technical team is comprised of
members who are very highly accomplished, 75% of whom have a PhD in Electrical Engineering.

Bala Vishwanath President &
CEO
Bala Vishwanath is President & CEO at
Physware, Inc. Mr. Vishwanath came to Physware after over 18 years of experience in high-technology
EDA companies ranging from start-ups such as Epic Design Technology to public corporations such as
Synopsys, Inc. He was the Founder as well as President of Smarte, a company in the software
licensing space with enterprise customers that included Intel, Microsoft and Sony. At Synopsys, he
managed the worldwide technical sales team supporting Intel Corporation. Mr.
Vishwanath has an MS Electrical Engineering from the University of Hawaii, Manoa, BS
Electrical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani, India and
engineering certificate degrees from the University of California,
Berkeley.

Vikram
Jandhyala
Chairman &
CTO Vikram Jandhyala, PhD, is Founder & CTO at Physware, Inc. and
is also Professor of electrical engineering and director of the Applied Computational Engineering
Lab at the University of Washington. His prior industry experience includes being an R&D
engineer for Ansoft Corp. and a lead consultant for several companies and organizations, including
Cadence Design Systems, Calypso Medical, CFDRC, and NASA. Dr. Jandhyala has published approximately
200 journal and conference papers. He was a recipient of the NSF CAREER award for outstanding young
faculty in 2001. He received his PhD in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois,
Urbana- Champaign and his BTech from IIT Delhi.

Dipanjan Gope
VP of R&D
Dipanjan Gope, PhD, is Vice President of R&D at Physware Inc. Prior to joining Physware, he
was a Senior CAD engineer at Intel where he developed a state-of-the-art fast DC circuit simulator
and contributed to the proprietary non-linear circuit simulation engine and its extension to
multithreaded environment. While an intern at IBM, he co-developed the fast surface-based PEEC
methodology. He has approximately 35 journal and conference publications. Dr. Gope received his PhD
and M.S. degrees in EE from the University of Washington, Seattle and BE in Electronics
and Electrical Communication from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.

Swagato Chakraborty
VP of Products
Swagato Chakraborty, PhD, is Vice President
of Products at Physware Inc. Prior to joining Physware, he was a core developer at Applied Wave
Research, Inc. Dr. Chakraborty's expertise lies in computational electromagnetics, multiphysics
applications and software architecture. He has over 25 peer-reviewed journal, conference papers and
two patents. Dr. Chakraborty received his MS & PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from the
University of Washington, Seattle and Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Electrical
Communication from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India.

Mark Viglione
Director of Sales
Mark Viglione is Director of Sales at
Physware, Inc and has over 25 years of experience in high-technology semi-conductor and EDA
companies. Mark began his career at IBM where he held engineering roles in the system products
division. Moving into the EDA industry he has held a variety of engineering, sales and sales
management roles including Regional Sales Manager and Global Account Director positions. His career
has included positions at Cadence, Ansoft, and startups such as Nassda selling software and
services. Mr.Viglione holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Northeastern
University in Boston.

Daniel de Araujo
Director of
Applications
Daniel N. de Araujo is Director of
Applications at Physware Inc. Prior to joining Physware, he was a Senior Technical Services
Engineer at ANSYS/Ansoft. His industry experience includes nine years at IBM as an expert in the
areas of high speed serial links, design methodology, modeling, simulation, measurement, and
characterization of complex system structures with emphasis on high-end scalable (4-32 processor)
servers and high volume desktops. He has over 60 journal and conference publications, 7 patents
issued with an additional 19 patents filed. He received his M.S. degree in computer engineering
from North Carolina State University and his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan
State University.

Shinji Iyobe
Japan Sales
Shinji Iyobe represents Sales in Japan for
Physware and has over 25 years of related experience. Prior to Physware, in 2006 Shinji
established DSM Solutions, a sales consulting firm focused on high technology specifically
Design Automation Software. Some of the clients Mr. Iyobe has worked with include Rio
Design Automation, Zuken and DeFacTo Technologies. Before DSM Solutions Shinji was General
Manager, EDA Sales Dept. for ITOCHU Techno-Science Corporation(CTC). During that time, Shinji built
the Japanese presence of multiple EDA start-up companies including Quad Design, IKOS, Sunrise,
Escalade, Synchronicity and Blackstone Tech. Shinji holds a bachelor of mechanical engineering from
Kansai University in Osaka .

Y.B. Cho
Korea Sales
Y.B. Cho represents Sales in Republic of
Korea for Physware and has over 20 years of related experience. Prior to Physware, Y.B. Cho
was VP of Sales at Humanchips and General Manager at EVE. Y.B. Cho has represented multiple EDA
Companies including Zycad, IKOS, Nassda, Silvaco, Celestry, SpringSoft, EVE, Sequence, Infiniscale,
Aldec and CLK_DA. Y.B Cho also established two EDA Korea branch offices for Celestry and EVE. Y.B
started his career as an R&D Engineer at Western Digital, Korea, and subsequently moved to
Applications Engineering roles and Sales Management roles at various EDA
companies.
