PhysAPEX is Physware’s accelerated extractor. PhysAPEX enables
package, board, system, SiP, and SoC designers to rapidly and accurately extract passive and causal reliable
net-list representation of subsystems in a fully automated manner.
PhysAPEX is built around proprietary
electro-magneto-quasi-static accelerated boundary element technology that enables unprecedented speed and capacity,
while preserving gold-standard Maxwell accuracy.
PhysAPEX is built from the ground up to exploit multicore and
hybrid architectures, as well as to utilize the best of fast solver technology to enable quick simulation on single
or multiple core machines.
PhysAPEX enables rapid electrical model and SPICE netlist
generation for use in all aspects of Signal Integrity and Power Integrity design and analysis. PhysAPEX features
full package and board import capability from industry standard formats as well as merging and combining utilities
within an integrated workspace.
PhysAPEX’s deep IP and rich feature list enables users to
choose from multiple modes and design-enabling features. Users can obtain impedance, resistance, conductance,
capacitance, inductance, and complete SPICE netlists, place multiple packages on boards and observe electrical
behavior through the integrated chip through system.
PhysAPEX integrates tightly with existing
design flows in a seamless fashion, thereby enabling efficient frontend and backend
integration.
PhysAPEX offers an integrated quasi-static 3D SI and PI solution under the
same software framework and seamlessly fits into standard CAD flows. PhysAPEX directly imports geometry in widely
used CAD formats and produces output models that are compatible with standard circuit simulation
engines.
